Tweening. We all do it. Most of us have learned to avoid Adobe's Tween class in favor of a more powerful, less code-heavy engine (Tweener, Fuse, MC Tween, etc.). Each has its own strengths & weaknesses. A few years back, I created TweenLite because I needed a very compact tweening engine that was fast and efficient (I couldn't afford the file size bloat that came with the other tweening engines). It quickly became integral to my work flow. I figured others might be able to benefit from it, so I released it publicly. Over the past few years, the positive feedback has been overwhelming.

MC Tween is a free library of prototypes that can be used on Flash MX and above (with both AS1 and AS2) to create property tweenings dinamically using several different easing equations - in practical words, creating easing animations via simple and small coding. Also called a tweening extension, MC Tween is just a bunch of actionscript code you can add to your Flash movies via a #include command. With the launch of the new Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0, Adobe created a gap, in terms of compatibility, between applications created using ActionScript 2.0 and ActionScript 3.0. This means that a Flash clip created using ActionScript 3.0 can load and play a clip created using ActionScript 2.0, but it will not have access to anything (variables, functions, objects) inside the AS2 clip.
